Peace on Earth with Rudolph

Let there be Peace on Earth and let it begin with the acceptance of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. :) I love how this card comes out and the meaning behind the greeting! In fact, this has become the favorite card in the Christmas Card Class. Everyone loves it! Don't let the monochromatic look fools you. This card packs a lot of textures and shines!

Cardstock: Soft Suede, Whisper White

Stamp Set: Dasher

Ink: Soft Suede Classic ink, VersaMark Pad

Accessories: Big Shot, Snow Burst Embossing Folder, Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint, Sponge Dauber, 2-Way Glue Pen, Dazzling Diamond Glitter, Gold Emboss Powder, Embossing Buddy, Heat Tool, Rhinestone Basic Jewels, Sharpie pen

Edit for Update: I got a lot of requests regarding how I achieve the oval for Rudolph. You can either buy a frame with an oval opening or create one using an oval (or whatever shape you want) from the big shot like this one. Any cardboard is fine (like the one from the backing of the DSP). I use temporary adhesive to adhere it to the Embossing Folder, add my card stock inside, run it through the Big Shot with Tab 2 and one clear plate on top. Hope this helps.

Peace be with you!

  1. Great card, Danee! Love how it appears just the antlers are gold embossed. Will have to try that. Gail S.

  2. Beautiful Dasher card. I just got the stamp this year. How do you make the plain oval in the snowburst embossing folder. I have seen this done before but my stampin up demonstrator does not know how to do this. Can you help?
